Looking for a fun and educational weekend activity for your child? Our 10-week Saturday STEAM clubs are the perfect choice! Designed for students in grades 1-12, these clubs offer a unique chance to explore the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through hands-on activities and experiments. Led by enthusiastic undergraduate students from UBCO, our clubs are filled with engaging projects that ignite curiosity for all things STEAM. Spaces are limited, so register today through the link below.

WHAT ARE SATURDAY CLUBS?

Our Saturday clubs take place on campus at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan in Kelowna. Clubs are themed to different STEAM topics and feature inquiry-based curriculum, engineering design challenges, and various hands-on activities. Clubs run Saturdays from January 17, 2026 – March 28, 2026 (no clubs on February 14), 10am-12pm. Each club is run by two amazing instructors who love sharing STEM with kids and youth.

Grade Levels: Grades 1-12 (varies by Club Theme)

Program Pricing: $250 for 10 club sessions
We believe that every person should be able to participate in our programs, and so we are working hard to bring you programming. As such, please see our bursary information at the bottom of the page if you require financial assistance to participate.

Registration Deadline: Registration opens on October 1, 2025 and closes on Thursday January 15, 2026.

WINTER CLUB THEMES

Maker 1/2

Get ready to build, create, and explore! In this 10-week Saturday club, students in grades 1-2 will jump into the exciting world of engineering through hands-on projects and imaginative challenges. Each week introduces a new theme – from designing amazing structures to inventing for outer space, the deep ocean, and beyond. With plenty of opportunities to tinker, experiment, and bring ideas to life, this club is perfect for curious minds who love to dream big and build even bigger.

Join this club if you love solving puzzles, testing cool designs, and creating awesome projects.

STEM with an A 3/4:

Step into a world of discovery and creativity! In this 10-week Saturday club, students in grades 3-4 will explore STEM through exciting experiments, eye-opening demos, and hands-on engineering builds. Each week offers new opportunities to design, test, and invent while connecting science, technology, and art in fun and engaging ways. With plenty of chances to problem-solve and create, this club is all about sparking curiosity and building a love of STEM.

STEM with an A 5/6

Take your innovation and problem-solving to the next level! In this 10-week Saturday club, students in grades 5-6 will tackle exciting challenges that combine science, technology, engineering, math, and a sprinkle of art in unique and innovative ways. From building creative projects to experimenting with design thinking and scientific exploration, each week offers opportunities to invent, test, and discover. Topics like forensics, technology, sustainable engineering, and biology will guide our hands-on challenges and inspire fresh ideas.

Join this club if you love challenges, hands-on experiments, and exploring how STEM shapes our world.

Engineering Sustainability 7/8/9

Design, build, and code solutions that make a difference! In this hands-on STEM club, grades 7-9 students will explore several exciting branches of Engineering – from mechanical and civil to environmental and computer science – offering a sneak peek into post-secondary engineering pathways. Participants will take on coding activities that connect digital tools with real-world problem solving. Every session focuses on challenges rooted in sustainability, eco-friendly design, and a healthier planet. Program, prototype, and engineer a brighter, more sustainable future.

Creative STEM 10/11/12

Think engineering is all numbers and formulas? Think again! This hands-on STEM club for grades 10-12 puts creativity at the center of every project. Explore how Engineers in every field – from mechanical to environmental, electrical to biomedical – use imagination to tackle real-world problems. Build, design, and experiment with exciting projects while discovering the many pathways towards post-secondary engineering.

Join this club if you love designing, building, and thinking outside the box, or if you’re curious about how creativity shapes the engineers of tomorrow.

CLUB POLICIES

Please read the information below regarding our policies in place for camps this year.

For in-person clubs, we offer the following cancellation policy:

  • $35.00 fee for cancellations made one or more weeks prior to the start of your program
  • 50% of program registration fee for cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the start of your program
  • No refund can be given after 4:00 PM on the Thursday preceding your club

We want to be as flexible as possible while also keeping programming costs down. When a customer cancels, we lose money in non-refundable credit card and registration fees. We never charge a fee for transferring off the waitlist. We hope this makes it as easy as possible to change your plans.
