Geering Up is an organization that exists to bring STEAM programming to youth across BC regardless of their background. To achieve this, Geering Up provides in-school workshops, summer camps, weekend clubs, events, and outreach. Our instructor team plans and delivers this fantastic content.
Yes! In the same way that STEAM is multi-disciplinary, we hire staff who bring knowledge in a variety of areas. Preference may be given to those with experience teaching, but we encourage everyone to apply.
Yes! However, please be advised that our positions work with young children. If you are an international student on a work permit, a completed medical exam may be required prior to your start date for these positions. Please refer to the Government of Canada website or contact your local visa office for additional information.
Student Assistants are the title we give to our staff who help out with our administration team. They often directly oversee a project, which could include supervising a group of Instructors.
